WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN/WALK?

A virtual run is when participants do not gather in a public race setting but participate wherever they are. It can be your neighborhood, your local track, a public park, or a treadmill. A 5K is 3.2 miles and can be measured using a bike odometer or a running app. You run on your own schedule although it’s fun to have people run and share on the same day or week. If you want to submit your race time for publication (optional), make sure to have it sent by the cut-off date.

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME

A 5K/1 mile walk format is designed to encourage participation for all ages and abilities. Young children especially love the mile run/walk and even the toddler can ride on her trike or in the stroller. Kids love goals, races, and events. Older children might also enjoy the opportunity to train for a longer run. We strongly recommend ice cream at the finish line! And also consider having us send Rise Up and Run finisher medals to your crew (see details in registration options below).

SUBMIT YOUR RACE TIME (OPTIONAL)

Some people are motivated by competition against themselves or others. Registered runners are welcome to submit race times (include name, age, time) for online publication.
